One of our favourite new arrivals so far this Spring is this fabulous range of jewellery by British designer Esa Evans. Her mission statement is ‘wear what makes you happy, be yourself, don't wait for presents and yes, you are worth it’.
Based on her original laser cut designs, each piece is made from stainless steel and plated with 18ct rose gold. Her jewellery is made to be worn every day, and is equally special to be kept for a rare occasion. Her collection includes statement bracelets, geometric earrings and adjustable rings.
Our favourites are these rose gold plated word necklaces - ‘Gone Rogue’, ‘Send Help’, ‘Blimey’ and Females Unite’. All available in store or online now.
Spring is the time of year when we do our most active sourcing of new products here in Little Beach Boutique. We go to lots of trade shows and research independent and emerging labels to find exciting new ranges for our collection.
We are now receiving deliveries almost daily and the shop is taking on the freshness of a new season.
We would like to introduce to you two of our favourite finds so far this year - From Babies With Love and Arthouse Meath. Both of these ranges have ethical principles at the heart of what they do and we fell in love with their ethos and products.
Arthouse Meath are a collective of artists living with complex epilespy and learning disabilites, all of who require varying levels of support. The artists work alongside instructors to create artworks which are developed into designer products for sale. All artwork derives from the skills each artist brings to the enterprise and every contribution holds real value. 100% of sales revenue sustains this enterprise and improves the health and well-being of those that are involved. And we love their products, which include mugs, soaps and chocolate!
We have also started stocking a brand new range of ethically sourced baby products by From Babies With Love. This beautiful, gender-neutral, collection includes 100% organic cotton sleepsuits and muslin wraps, gift sets for newborns and building blocks for slightly older babies.
The whole range supports orphaned and abandoned children from around the world by giving 100% of their profits to SOS charities.
Our favourite if this cute whale design sleepsuits made from a print of a vintage airmail stamp!
We will be adding these products to our online shop over the next few days - but feel they are already available in-store - just pop in to see them!
Watch this space for lots of bright and beautiful new ranges, coming soon.

Last thursday was our first week of Late Night Shopping in the North Laine, and it definitely got us in the festive spirit!
Over 80 independent businesses in the North Laine got involved, offering prizes, treats, fizz and special discounts. There were carol singers, soul choirs - and even Santa made an early appearance!
We were delighted to see so many familiar faces - returning customers came to say happy Christmas - and lots of new people came to enjoy the festive atmosphere in this special part of Brighton.
What’s even better, we’re doing it all again next thursday, on 14th December!
Here are some photos of the evening - us in our Christmas jumpers, new in stock this week and handmade in Brighton by Juggz Jumpers. We love them!
We are delighted to annouce that our lovely community of independent shops have got together to put on another festive late night shopping special!
With over 55 shops involved in the North Laine alone, the event promises to be bigger and better than last year!
On the 7th and 14th December, between 6 & 9pm, we will be open, offering festive nibbles, fizz (of course!) and special dicounts for a few hours.
It was such a fun night last year - the atmosphere in the North Laine was really special - and it is a wonderful way to wonder around such a diverse and vibrant part of Brighton after hours.
Put it in your diary! We hope to see you there x
I love the turn of a new season here at Little Beach Boutique - it is the perfect opportunity to source new ranges so we can offer something unseen to our returning visitors and a fresh look for first time shoppers.
While I have one eye on Christmas gifts and stocking fillers (I know, I said the C word, sorry), I am always seeking collections which will surpass seasonal changes and become a feature of what we are best known for - supporting local and British makers, artists and designers.
In September I met Jo from Lucky Lobster Art. She produces stylish and colourful lino prints in her studio in Hertfordshire. She is passionate about lino printing, which started with a lino cutting kit as a birthday gift. Her first design (my favourite) is the 'You Are My Lobster' print, which she made as a gift for her husband - and Lucky Lobster Art was born.
Since then, she has developed a range of prints from her unique designs which are quirky, colourful and perfect for anyone from dog lovers to beach combers, and add a touch of sentiment and humour to a beautiful piece of art.
Lino printing begins as a pencil drawing. The image is transferred onto lino and is carved out to leave the image behind. Using ink, Jo transfers the image onto paper and creates a collage effect by finishing each piece with watercolours.
I was immediately drawn to her dog prints - this one reads 'You're back! I'm so so happy!'
I also love this cheerful goldfish lino cut, featuring a single red fish going the other way in a tide of blue. It is called 'Be Unique'.
The bold carving that produces the wave and water details on this 'Sail Away' print are one of the reasons lino cutting is so striking - the boat image is almost three-dimentional in effect.
All these prints are now available to buy in styish white frames, handmade in West Yorkshire specifically for them. You can find them here - https://littlebeachboutique.com/collections/art-prints?page=1
Meanwhile, I hope the new season is treating you well as the temperature starts to drop and the evenings draw in. Watch this space for new products arriving almost daily!
Bye for now,
As the schools go back and autumn gently breezes in, we are busy sourcing new products and ranges to usher in the new season.
We love the soft pastel and metallic trends we have seen at shows recently, and have found some gorgeous gunmetal and rose gold clutches, shoulder bags and purses that go perfectly with our super soft scarves in muted tones.
For now, autumn seems to have found itself in this cosy corner of the shop, among feather-down cushions by Joanna Corney and uplifting word mugs by Cafe of Curiosities. As new products arrive, we'll be sure to share them, lots more to come x
Little Beach Boutique has now been in the North laine for three years - and it has flown by! But three years of Brighton's windy, salty weather had taken it's toll on our shopfront so we thought we would treat ourselves to a makeover...
In keeping with the style of the rest of the shop, we chose materials that were reclaimed - and opted for wood from pallets, and recycled aluminium sheet, which we primed and painted with our favourite shade of blue (Farrow & Ball, Lulworth Blue exterior eggshell).
And it is safe to say we're chuffed with the results...
We updated the logo too- having had enough of noisy seagulls (we love them really!) we opted for a beautiful silhouette of some starlings sitting on a wire. We have coasters in a very similar design!
The look is all topped off with some colourful festival bunting which looks perfect dangling in the breeze on a sunny day by the sea...
Bye for now!
Here at Little Beach Boutique, we love to work with independent designers and makers, and our collections feature many of the fabulous creatives who are based right here in Brighton. We are always researching craft fairs, open houses, galleries and trade shows for something different to offer our customers, as well as keeping at look out for emerging talent who might not have an outlet yet.
We get especially excited when someone approaches us, so imagine our delight when we were contacted by Brighton's own Cafe of Curiosities, who wanted to tell us about their brand new range of drinkware, totes and pins dedicated to one thing - feeling good!
Both busy working mums, Bethanie and Lucy, aka Cafe of Curiosities, describe their concept as a "fun and uplifting place that houses the things you love" and they have designed a range of products to inspire and uplift you, make you chortle as well as bring a little magic into your day.
Their ranges are called "Menus", and they have most recently served up a fabulous range of mugs which we couldn't wait to have in the shop. There is something for everyone in the range, and here are some of our favourites -
"That sounds like a dreadful idea, what time do we start?"
This mug calls to mind that friend who (no matter how old we get) I always seem to get in trouble with, and with who I find myself having some misguided adventure that keeps me laughing for days! It makes me smile over my morning cuppa recalling things we have done, even if I don't see her everyday.
I love this mug because there shouldn't have to be a premise - just "boss" - it is for the person without who everything would fall apart...
"Be a Flamingo in a flock of pigeons"
This mug reminds you to be yourself, be bold, stand out from the crowd, (even when you might feel like staying in and having another cuppa).
"I'm so happy I could shit rainbows"
This mug made me laugh out loud when I saw it! Even if you're not feeling particularly perky, there is a chance that sipping a brew out of this cup will improve your mood.
Enough said! We all know those mornings, sometimes they stretch into days! We just want to hide behind our comforting cuppa and let the words speak for us...
All these mugs are available in store or online now, in our New Collections section.
