It has been great to be back in the workshop again after Christmas, and I have been busy creating some new glass ranges for Spring. Most likely as a consequence of spending so much time indoors during lockdown, I have been filling my home with plants and greenery, and that has been translated into the pieces I have been making.
These bud vases are made with colourful opal glass and stencilled powders and are perfect for all those little stems that fall out of a bunch of flowers.
These curved glass waves are full of texture. They are made with layers of sheet glass and crushed glass and slumped over a mould on their second firing. They would look beautiful mounted on a bathroom wall, in a sunny spot where the light could shine through.
This floral panel is a first attempt at a new 'wildflower' range. I hope to make coasters, dishes and wall panels in all the colours of spring and summer.
This fern panel is another study for a new botanical range - watch this space for more in this tranquil green....
