I've just finished firing some of the creations made in our February workshop and wanted to share these pieces made by one person who attended- he made several tiles inspired by beach huts and I was really impressed by the different ways he used the glass to create such effective coastal scenes.
With a mixture of frit (crushed glass) powders, paper, metal inclusions and stringers (long strings of glass) he has made a beautiful variety of pieces.
Our fused glass workshop is for complete beginners but we aim to make four coasters and a wall panel during the day for you to take home after it has been fired - so if you are inspired by these pieces (like I have been!), book a space on our next course, on the 13th March 2016, or call us to find out about future dates.
